Beauty Overview : Spring

Between the bones; a round-up of the current items I’m using. With swatches and mini reviews!

The Guide:
★★★ Love! Highly Recommended.
★★ Like! Try it.
★ OK
☆ Sucks!

First Aid Beauty Face Cleanser
This was recommended to me by a friend and I absolutely love how foamy and effective it is. It can remove any lip-stain and mascara! It makes my face feel radiant after a long day of make-up. It’s gentle but at times it can feel a bit stripping if you use to much (a little goes a long way). ★★★

Freeman Facial Purifying Acai Clay Mask
First off, this smells really good! It felt really nice and gentle on my skin and left it clear and renewed.
I’m really excited about these Freeman Masks, I’d like to try a few more. ★★★

Milani Powder Blush in 01 Romantic Rose
Got this because I had no blush at the moment and wanted to try it. The ingredients of this blush are not particularly things I want to wear in my face often (it contains a few parabens, talc and it smells like typical powdery eyeshadow I used when I was 15, meh). However the rosy colour is quite pigmented and pretty. It’s a nice satin touch for a quick healthy look. Plus you get a lot of product. ★★

Milani Nail Lacquer in 40 Diamond Dazzle
Dug up this old glitter nail polish. Makes me think of dew over petals when I wear it over pale lavender and mint colours. I love this long lasting babe! ★★

Here are some swatches on my arm. From top to bottom: The blush, the mineral foundation and the lipstick.

Bare Minerals Matte Foundation in Light
I really love the finish, the coverage and how easy this mineral foundation blends. It has SPF 15. The only problem I have is that this shade (W15) is somehow too yellow for my skin. Hopefully during summer I can get away with the colour. Note to self: try it in the colour Fairly Light. ★★★

Milani Lipstick in 21 Sangria
Bought it last Autumn, at first I was upset because I applied it with one swipe and it looked rather creamy instead of matte. I gave it a second chance and now I’ve been wearing this lippy every day! It’s a very easy to wear vampy/wine colour. The trick is to apply just a touch of the lip-colour on scrubbed and moisturised lips and clean off the excess, now repeat to build up the intensity of the colour. That way it stays opaque (and matte!) throughout the day. ★★
