Handmade Paper: Dreams

During the stupor of the morning when the sun rays peek between your eyelashes, dreams fade. A burst of light and colour begins to reign, while the after-taste of your dream remains.
The mood of that interval between dreamland and waking up is translated into paper.

Tones of pink, lavender and light blue are part of this set I made in 2012. I used recycled paper scraps from other paper projects I had been working at the time. I left the wrinkles (and the textures from the method used to dry the paper) and played with the thickness of each piece. Stars and stains also compliment the colour palette for each -awoken dream-.

What do you perceive when you wake up from a dream? ♥
